NOT BOUND FOR U.S., SPECIAL EDITION GETS NEW COLORS, INTERIOR TRIM

Lotus is celebrating 50 years of its Hethel, England factory with a limited edition Evora 400. It comes in exclusive “heritage” colors, and is the first in a series of special products, according to Lotus, that will mark this anniversary.
Colors will include Essex blue, motorsport black and racing green, with either black or red leather or Alcantara trim. Each will get lightweight forged aluminum wheels, contrasting brake calipers and special graphics. It can also be customized through the Lotus Exclusive program.
This special edition is just a visual update, as the Evora will continue with its Toyota-sourced 3.5-liter V6 with a supercharger. That’s good for 400 hp at 7,000 rpm, along with 302 lb-ft of torque at 3,500 rpm. Top speed in the manual is 186 mph; the automatic is a little slower at 174 mph. The sprint to 60 mph is 4.1 seconds for both.
